Growing up Southern is a privilege, really. It's more than where you're born - it's an idea, a state of mind that seems imparted at birth. It's more than loving fried chicken, sweet tea, high school football, beer, country music, and acoustic guitars. It's being hospitable, being devoted to front porches, magnolias, the good Lord, and each other. We don't become Southern - we're born that way.

My name is Erika, and I’m a southern girl just trying to make it in this big world. Born and raised in great state of North Carolina – Wolf Pack in the House!  I love all things pink, preppy, puppies, peonies, ruffles, glittery, pearls, anything Southern, seersucker, monograms, and Guy Harvey.  I’m your typical southern girl who has too much to say and isn’t afraid of saying it.  I’m loud, obnoxious, and overly honest.  For obvious reasons, I love Nicholas Sparks: The Lucky One and Safe Haven are my favorite books.  I have an eye for fashion and have been describe as preppy with an edge. I am a typical Pisces which loves the arts, helping others, fashion, and all things creative.  I’m not a “fashion” blogger. I’m not a rich girl. I’m not a size 2. I’m just me, and I’m okay with that.
